Gallatin Conservation District will be hosting a workshop on Earthquakes October 23rd from 5:30 – 7 P.M. The workshop will cover :
- Basic geology of the area
- Recent earthquakes in Manhattan
- History of earthquakes in Manhattan
- Preparedness & safety
- Basics on earthquake insurance
We are excited to have MSU Professor of structural geology/tectonics Dr. Dave Lageson, State Seismologist Michael Stickney with the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology, Christopher Van Note with Glidewell Insurance, and Montana DES coordinators join us in presenting on this subject that’s been shaking the Manhattan Community.
