The Gallatin Water Supply Outlook (GWSO) Report is a monthly report that describes current water balance conditions within a watershed. The GWSO is a resource that takes data from different agencies and websites, and puts it in a manageable, simplified report that is easy for the public to use. This report serves as a tool to aid in our resilience to changing land use, weather, and climate conditions. By learning more about current conditions, users can make more informed management decisions and pay attention to future conditions such as drought or flood. Water supply indicators such as snowpack levels, streamflow conditions, reservoir storage, climate conditions, drought monitors, and soil moisture are all discussed in the GWSO report. The report was first created through a Big Sky Watershed Corps partnership between MSU Extension and One Montana. Starting in April 2019, the Gallatin Conservation District took over the creation and housing of the report.
