Gallatin Conservation District offers an array of educational events and opportunities for youth, adults, and organizations. One of our primary objectives is to provide educational opportunities for both youth and adults and to assist landowners with overall management strategies.

The Education and Outreach Center (EOC) provides the public with an outdoor area which demonstrates conservation practices of natural resources landowners can implement.  The EOC is a place where educational, hands-on learning opportunities occur for youth and adults.

The Gallatin CD hosts workshops throughout the year.  Please visit our calendar to see what event is happening next.  If you have an idea for a workshop that you would like to see hosted please contact GCD staff!

The Gallatin Conservation District believes that our conservation future lies in the hands of today’s youth.  We are involved in many different projects and workshops to help educate and inspire land stewardship with our youth. Visit our calendar to see what events we have coming up!

You can catch the Gallatin Conservation District at all the Manhattan Community Events including Potato Fest, Christmas Stroll, Farmer’s Markets, and much more!  Visit our calendar to see what is happening next!

The Gallatin Conservation District proudly coordinates and hosts the Manhattan Farmer’s Market every year!  You can also catch us at a variety of other markets throughout the Gallatin Valley. Click below to learn more about the Manhattan Farmer’s Market.

The Gallatin Conservation District offers a $1000 scholarship in honor of long time Gallatin Conservation District board member and rancher, John Venhuizen every year.  This scholarship is available to any graduate from a Gallatin County high school seeking a degree in conservation, natural resources, or agriculture from a MT post-secondary school.
