Join us in the Education and Outreach Garden for our third and final “Fall Stewards” program. This program is once again geared towards Gallatin County homeschoolers to help kids get outside and learn about nature with hands-on activities! For our final Fall Stewards event, Patty Howard from the Gallatin Solid Waste Management District will be teaching us how to recycle in Gallatin County through hands on activities. We’ll also get creative and use recycled materials to create works of art. Check out the Gallatin Solid Waste Management District website to learn more about what this organization does and how it helps the people of Gallatin County recycle: https://gallatinsolidwaste.org/
This event will once again be broken up into TWO AGE GROUPS. From 10 AM to 12 PM our activities will be targeted towards 2nd – 5th graders and from 1 PM – 3 PM our activities will be targeted towards 6th graders and above.
Both sessions will be held in the Outreach and Education Center and will be outside, so please dress accordingly for the weather. Younger kids are more than welcome to also join the afternoon session and vice versa, but just be aware of the target lesson activities for each session.
